Art Demo on Yupo Paper at Crystal Springs Medieval Art Parade!

Since the theme of the Art Festival/Parade was "medieval", I thought I'd bring some fencing images and work on something related to swordplay. The kids seemed to enjoy it. Our conversation throughout the day fluctuated between painting and fencing. That was great because they are two of my passions!



It's a saber fencer. The painting is a work in progress but I started the image at the beginning of the parade and just kept working on it while the kids asked questions. I actually started from a reference photo I took at the the 2005 Summer Nationals Fencing Championship in Sacramento, California for a personal client.
