Rashid Recieves $3500 Art Grant Award

I was recently awarded a grant by the Community Foundation of Jacksonville to execute a series of mixed media works that explore the relationship between abstract art, math and science. By exhibiting the works and giving talks/lectures about the processes involved, I hope to encourage the community to see connections between these disciplines. Paintings, etchings, woodcuts and combinations thereof will make up the majority of the body of work. These pieces will explore the relationship between color, perception and symbolism.
