Rashid Wins the Gasparilla Fencing Open -Women's Foil Event

The really cool part of the day was taking a photo with my coach and the US Olympic Team Captain, Jeff Bukantz. He was instrumental in helping the US Women's Sabre Team in securing the Gold Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics. I had just finished reading his book, "Closing the Distance". This was a real honor. Turns out that my coach and he are from the same New York stomping ground.
