Rashid Coordinates JWS Outreach Exhibition- 5/9/07
I have enjoyed serving as the Jacksonville Watercolor Society (JWS) Outreach coordinator for the past 2 years. It has been great working with all the kids and teachers. This year, with the help of the staff at the Karpeles Manuscript Museum we were able to put up an exhibition for the kids who participated in our outreach program in 2006 and 2007.
The schools in the exhbition are Stonewall Jackson Elementary, Twin Lakes Elementary and Jacksonville Beach Elementary.
Please visit the JWS Team Outreach Blog to learn more about all the schools we reached over the last few years.
Thank you all who help with putting on this exhibition for the kids: Bill Devereax (JWS), Patty Magee (JWS), Linda Hawkins (JWS), Gloria (Karpeles), Rick Minor (Karpeles).
I also want to thank all the people who over the years have kept the JWS Outreach going by volunteering their time to teach outreach classes at various elementary schools in Duval County.
Thank you Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville, for the grant to execute the watercolor outreach opportunities to local schools.
