Plein Air Rock Study-Pacific Grove,CA
In a previous post, I shared a watercolor sketch of a rock study. Here's another rock study I did at Lover's Point in Pacific Grove, CA. It's very special to me.
It was a beautiful day. I climbed up on some rocks to get away from the tourists and found a great view. The wind was tolerable. In the beginning, I was very comfortable...very few bugs, etc..But about 2 hours into the painting, the sun crept up behind me and beat down on my neck. I learned from this experience to dress for dramatic changes in the weather. A plein air
