The "Periodic" Series Portray Good Design!

Recently, I was juried into the "EarthVisions" exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) in Tampa, FL. The four paintings I had on display are good examples of how I attempt to draw connections between the two disciplines, science and art.

The Periodic Table of Elements is the theme behind the four paintings.

"Periodic A(6)" was inspired by Element 6 on the Periodic Table which is the non-metal called Carbon (C) and it exists free on our planet in many forms.

"Periodic B(68)" was inspired by Element 68 on the Periodic Table. It is a Rare Earth metal called Erbium (Er).

"Periodic C(58)" was inspired by Element 58 on the Periodic Table. Element 58 is a Rare Earth metal called Cerium (Ce).

"Periodic D(He)" was inspired by the Noble Gas called Helium. It is an element that is abundant in the universe.

The paintings were created in small format (6 x 6") because I wanted to present them in a very affordable package. They are also each beautifully and simply framed as you can see in the first image above. Email me if you are interested in purchasing one or all four paintings as a set.

For the month of June, all four paintings are now currently on display at the Tampa Artist Emporium. You may also contact the gallery for purchase options.
