Sold-"The Sunset", Oil on Board, 6 x 8"
Hey Art Peeps, I am having a Studio Sale this entire month of June to make room for new work. Make me an offer I can't refuse on this little gem, "The Sunset". Bidding starts at $55.00. Best offer by Saturday, June 7th at 5:00 pm is the WINNER. Free Shipping!
What's the Story Behind This Painting? Back in 2011, I was selected (juried) to participate in a plein air event called Painting the Region-Color the Coast in Northeast Florida. The above painting, "Sunset" is of a scene executed outside the Mayport Naval Base in Jacksonville, FL. I had been painting all day in another area near a old fishing shack. As I drove out of the area, I came across this scene and had to paint it. The sun was going down and I was just struck by the beauty of the scene. I parked my car along the side of the road and set up as fast as I could before loosing the light...and of course before the mosquitoes started to eat me alive. LOL!
Here's The Offer:
Make this piece, from my rare collection of landscapes, yours, TODAY!. Best offer by Saturday, June 7th, 2014 at 5:00 pm is the WINNER. Free Shipping on this one!
